Denmark Update: Refreshing Evangelism

Having fled the country in my last my update, I’m glad to report that my team and I have returned to Denmark and hit the ground running! Now that we are back from the mid-year missions conference, we have jumped into an exciting and full February.

Last weekend (February 9–11) we hosted The Bridge, our annual conference for students in Scandinavia. My team and I cannot thank you enough for partnering with us through your prayers for this conference. By God’s grace, we had over 90 people in attendance from Denmark, Sweden, and Latvia and the weekend was an incredible success.

This weekend (as I write this update!), a team of over 40 Canadians is arriving in Copenhagen to join us for a for a one-week mission trip.

The busyness of this month means that my next video update won’t be ready until early March. With that in mind, for a small taste of The Bridge conference, consider watching my sermon on ‘Refreshing Evangelism’ in the video above or listening to an audio version here.

Until we chat again, here are three ways you can pray for my team and ministry here:

  • Pray that this week’s mission trip would be a great blessing to the Canadian students who are involved and to the local ministry here in Copenhagen. Pray that God would use this trip to direct the hearts of these Canadian students toward Jesus and his work in the world, and pray that it would be an encouragement to our Danish Christian students.
  • Pray that my team and I would be able to rest amid what has already been an intense month of ministry. Pray that we would guard our own time with the Lord, our sleep, and other avenues for rest.
  • Pray that God would give us discnerment in knowing what areas of the ministry to focus on and favour in raising up new student leaders in the coming months.

That’s all for now folks! Once we make it through February, I look forward to sharing more about The Bridge and this mission trip in my next video update.

Yours in fulfilling the Great Commission,

Lucas
