Sunday, we went to the Deaf worship service in Leveque. As we walked into the church we were blown away at how excited they all were to see us. The welcome was incredible! There were hugs and smiles all over the place. We were very impressed with the three Deaf pastors this church has. They are godly men that truly have been gifted by the Lord to shepherd the Deaf there. The service began with prayer, Bible reading, and lots of great singing. The lead pastor then asked us to share with the church a message…and of course we used our opportunities to share the gospel…and after that our Harvest Deaf Team sang “Lord I need you”.
The pastor then went before the congregation and gave an altar call, and five Deaf people came forward to surrender their lives to Christ. The pastor then presented a Bible to each of those who came forward and then asked us to pray for each person as they began their new lives in Christ. We recognize this was all God and count it such a privilege for the Lord to use us in such a miraculous way.
Tomorrow we’re back in Leveque for house-to-house evangelism. Our prayer is that God will continue to use us as powerfully as he has.
We are so thankful for all your prayers. God has heard them, He has answered, and He is being glorified.
He alone can open the hearts to believe!
