Worship Leader – Church Plants

Full Time
Supervisor – Senior Pastor

The Worship Leader will lead all aspects of musical worship, A/V, and weekend equipment set-up and tear down. The heart of this full-time role is to encourage and shepherd God’s people to worship God in spirit and truth. This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor under the direction of the Elders of the church.

WORSHIP ROLE

  • Leading worship during weekly rehearsals, Sunday mornings, monthly prayer meetings, and Harvest wide church events
  • Discipling and developing worship team members in musical gifts and spiritual maturity
  • Recruiting and developing new worship team members
  • Leading in the development of video production along with website media and graphics
  • Planning, reflecting, and implementing of vertical worship services with the Senior Pastor

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum three years of experience of leading a worship ministry

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to leverage technology in order to administer and communicate with people
  • Strong and growing competence in musical ability
  • Competence in graphic design and website management
  • Fully aligned with and submitted to the Harvest Doctrinal statement

Administrative Assistant – Youth Ministry

Full Time
Supervisor: Pastor of Youth Ministry

The Youth Assistant will work closely with the Youth Ministry pastor and team in assisting and supporting all responsibilities associated with the Youth Ministry of Harvest Oakville. This role requires a four day/week commitment, mid-week ministry attendance (weekly on Wednesday), and attendance to all weekend events.

ROLE

  • Report to and work closely with the Youth Pastor and youth team
  • Be responsible for managing calendars, handling communication via email, and phone calls
  • Organize, prepare, and execute both internal and external events
  • Organize, execute, and manage all communication with parents and students online, via email and social media
  • Create, execute, and/or modifying processes to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and increased productivity
  • Work with students, parents, and youth leaders to identify areas of need or care, and respond whenever possible or help create a plan

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Be familiar with the Youth Ministry of Harvest Bible Chapel Oakville and/or have served in it or another youth ministry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Forms, and multiple social media platforms

Accessibility Coordinator – Harvest Kids

Part Time: 15hrs/Week (Maternity Leave 2019-2020)
Supervisor: Pastor of Children’s Ministries

The Accessibility Coordinator will carry out the mission of Harvest Oakville as they give leadership to the Accessibility ministry in Harvest Kids. The heart of this role is to help execute weekend programs, supporting children and their families affected by disabilities or learning barriers by coordinating people within the church as they serve in this ministry.


ROLE

  • Lead the team in a growing understanding of developmental disabilities
  • Provide prayer support for the ministry with workers
  • Provide leadership to Sunday 9AM program
  • Provide leadership in planning and facilitating Respite Nights
  • Equip worker team with resources, training, and support
  • Coordinate and Lead Team Meetings (at least 2/yr);
  • Help identify potential areas of support within classrooms within children’s programs
  • Develop strategies for children within our children’s program
  • Equip workers to develop appropriate expectations for children in their classrooms
  • Connect with new families entering Harvest Kids accessibility programs
  • Connect and care for existing families in our program (via phone, email, meetings)
  • Resource classrooms with learning based products for children in the program
  • Develop short and long-term goals to help transition youth into other areas of our church family.
  • Be a resource to other Harvest churches in accessibility ministry as needed
  • Coordinate and plan Accessibility care and other areas as needed for Harvest Kids Camp
  • Maintain current Support Profiles for each child supported
  • Maintain new worker team screening (applications, police checks, references, training etc.)
  • Maintain Weekend Schedule program
  • Ensure teams are equipped with HK weekend lesson materials, verses, etc.
  • Maintain and implement visual schedule in classrooms to ease transitions as needed
  • Maintain Birthday records/send cards to supported children/youth & workers
  • Develop six-month worker schedule and equip team with schedules and updates
  • Communicate weekly schedule reminders to upcoming team
  • Plan Respite events (invitations, workers, supplies, medical)
  • Care for and encourage workers (via email, phone, notes of encouragement, birthdays, team outings etc.)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Experience working with children and/or teams is preferred    
  • Microsoft Office and/or Apple iLife software proficient
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Able to coordinate schedules and teams of people
  • Able to problem solve, think critically, and set goals
  • Able to lead and teach in large and small group settings
  • Be willing to pursue further training, equipping, and learning through personal and leadership development as approved or directed (books, other professionals, conferences, websites, seminars etc.)
