It’s hard to believe in just a week our team will be off to Romania. Amidst the final planning and preparation, I believe the general feeling on our team is excitement and expectation.
Excitement. Travelling half way around the world is bound to bring excitement as we prepare to fly, cross time zones, embrace new culture, eat new food, and meet new people. What I think our team is most excited about is to fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Braila in whom we, although have many differences, share the same Spirit, Lord, faith, baptism, God and Father of all (Ephesians 4:4-6). I am personally excited to see what God is doing in another part of the the world, and to think about Children’s Ministry outside of the comfort of my own ministry context.
Expectation. We have been praying often for this team and with that comes great expectation, in faith, that God will do incredible things throughout the trip. There are many unforeseen expectations that come when ministering in different cultural contexts. Knowing ministry is a spiritual battle, we anticipate struggles, temptations, and trials leading and during our time—our team is calling out to God for His protection and leading.
We are excited to keep you updated with our trip over the next few weeks! Please pray for our team leading up to our departure and arrival. Here are a few ways you can pray for us:
1. Spiritual Protection: Pray our lives and our families would feel the love of Christ so deeply in these next days as we prepare to leave.
2. Health: A few of us and our families have been bogged down with colds, sickness, and exhaustion that naturally comes with parenting. Pray for health and healing for our families.
