Orphan Care

Over the coming months we will be posting opportunities to get involved in the care of orphans both here at home and around the globe. Please join us in prayer as we seek the Lord in this ministry. If you would like to be added to our communications list, please email us your name and contact info to orphancare@harvestoakville.ca

One Day. One Voice. One Purpose.

“Defend the cause of the fatherless.” Isaiah 1:17

On November 12 we will join believers across the globe to unite together through prayer on behalf of orphans. This will be an intimate evening of fellowship, worship, and prayer where we will seek God’s heart for adoption, foster care, and global orphan care through Scripture. We will meditate on how He first loved us and ask Him to lead us to mirror this love in tangible ways.

The Orphan Care Sunday prayer night will be taking place at Nick and Amanda’s home at 7pm in Burlington.

If you would like to join us please email orphancare@harvestoakville.ca and we will follow up with further details of that evening.

We are currently working with SAFE FAMILIES CANADA as a means to provide emergency temporary foster care in our community. A number of Harvest Families are in the training process to be a Host Family and we have had a number of child placements already.

If you would like to support this ministry financially, you can make an online donation here. 100% of the funds will go directly to offset the expenses of Host Families and donations are tax deductible.

Next day-long seminar coming Spring 2018.

Led by our Orphan Care Team, this DVD-based workshop goes into great depths about Biblical adoption, how to decide if God’s calling you to adopt, and what it practically looks like. Please watch the video below for more information.

Note: we ask you do not bring children along with you to the workshop.
