Funerals

The Christian funeral has several purposes. The foremost goal is to worship God, and bring honour to the Saviour. Our focus is always fixed on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith.

The second goal is for the respectful remembrance and celebration of the deceased person’s life and the offering of love and comfort to the bereaved families. We, the pastors and staff at Harvest Oakville, are here to support you and walk with you through this difficult time of planning and carrying out the funeral and/or memorial service. We will do our best to work with your family to find a time that is convenient for both the needs of the family and the church’s regular scheduled events.

Fees

The fee for a funeral held at Harvest Oakville is $750 for members and attendees. This fee includes the following; the building, funeral coordinator, pastor, audio, and custodial services. Additional fees include musicians, additional audio requirements, and hospitality.

Off Site Fees

If only a Pastor is requested the fee is $250.
If a graveside service is also requested an additional $100 is applicable.

Hospitality

To assist with the food arrangements for a funeral or memorial service, Harvest Hospitality Ministry has created several menu options to choose from. For more information email hospitality@harvestoakville.ca.

Restrictions

Harvest Oakville is not available for funerals Easter weekend, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day. Harvest will also adhere to the restrictions of the Funeral Home involved.

Please note: All Saturday funerals must be complete by 1:00pm.

1. If you would like to apply for use of Harvest Oakville’s facilities located at 500 Great Lakes Blvd please thoroughly review the Facility Use Application and Policy. Return this form, either in person to our office, by mail or via email at rentals@harvestoakville.ca
2. Complete the Funeral Scheduling Form below to indicate the day you would like to hold the funeral. Our Funeral Coordinator will contact you to confirm availability and setup a meeting with you to discuss the details.
