Romania Gypsy Camp Update 1

So happy to be writing to you from Braila, Romania!

Our team travelled a full 24 hours; complete with a two hour flight delay at Toronto, a dash to our connecting flight, and a four hour bus ride—we couldn’t be happier to reach the Home of Hope. Liga, Carolyn, and Sandy greeted us with hugs, warm soup, schnitzel and french fries! What a blessing it is to receive such hospitality.

Following much needed rest, our team attended service in the new Biserica Metanoia Harvest Braila church building! We had the privilege of celebrating the end of the ministry year, with preaching from Vlad, Pastor Nutzu, and Pastor Marius.

After the service, various church members opened their homes to us and served lunch. We got to see where our friend, Carolyn DiMarco, serves and meet the children living here! Again, so wonderful to see God working in their lives, by providing them with a family and a heart to serve. We also got to meet a young man who recently began attending church, and spent everyday he could helping with construction. Please pray for him to accept God’s gift of salvation.

Tonight, our team and Biserica Harvest Metanoia Braila meet to fine tune all the details for the camp and various projects this week. We hope to maximize the opportunity to reach out to Romanians through prayer walks, camp participation both in the local community and Gypsy community, house visits, and their witnessing of God’s compassion.

Please pray:

1. That God would open the mind and hearts of the children who attend the camps, and shine a light on their siblings and parents.

2. Prayer walks and specific evangelism opportunities within the community of the new Harvest building

3. That God would give us discernment and comfort us as we plan for camps and gospel-centered conversations this week. Also, that He’d deliver all missing luggage and camp supplies!

Love you all deeply,

A.R.
