She has an opportunity to work with victims of Human Trafficking through the organization REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade). For six months, Jacqueline will work in the residence leading Bible studies, attending church, and fellowshipping with people while sharing the good news of the gospel. Jacqueline will also work at the emergency drop-in centre and with advocacy groups with these victims.
The Word of God instructs us as believers to “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widows cause.” – Isaiah 1:17
Trafficking is the biggest form of modern slavery. Victims of trafficking are mistreated, abused, and broken down to believe there is no hope left for them. Many do not know the gospel. As the Church, we cannot keep quiet. The Lord has given me the opportunity to walk alongside these women in prayer and bring them the good news.
